Film Advertisements
Movie trailers, posters, and advertisements always catch my eye.  The way companies create trailers can make any film seem amazing.  This poster leaves a lot to wonder but makes Daniel Day-Lewis look great.  He appears to really take on the part and his appearance on the poster makes me want to see the film.

Dan Dunn
This painter can visualize his artwork in ways the audience can not.  He turns the canvas and paints from all different angles but keeps the final image in mind.  Watch and see if you can guess what he’s painting before he finishes.  As a viewer I can’t see what the painter is creating until I see the finished product.  He has a unique image and creates it in an even more unique way...

Mountain Dew
After I watched the Mountain Dew ad, I immediately thought about how many guys would think, “Cool.”  Most high school or college guys probably will not be as excited about it, but my 8th grader brother would definitely click it and go into the Mountain Dew world to choose a new flavor.  The advertisement attempts to take advantage of the video game obsession.  With Playstation 3 and Xbox...

Japan's Crime Rate
An experimental fashion designer came up with the idea for camouflage clothing to hide from criminals.  She designed children’s backpacks and fake cell-phones with tracking chips as well. The idea of hiding as a vending machine seems ridiculous but She has sold 20 vending machine skirts for 800$ each.  The article in the New York Times explains that the Japanese do not reject new, even...

FORENSICS
We all love the shows like CSI, Law & Order, and Bones.  Everyone gets entertained by a crime scene and the ways people solve murders.  Alfred Hitchcock knew this about us and created the movie Rear Window. Alfred Hitchcock stations his main character at the window of his apartment throughout the entire film, forcing him to observe others out of boredom.  Jeffries watches his neighbors...

Star Wars Going Strong
The new Family Guy season premiered Sunday as a spoof on Star Wars.  The first Star Wars film came out in 1977 and has since become one of the most parodied films of all time.  We may not take the time to stop and look around us - But some things keep up with the pace.  Star Wars seems to be in it for the long haul… With the new episodes filmed just a few years ago, we can expect a long...

Taking A Closer Look...
This past May I took a trip to Europe where I visited Spain and France.  I enjoyed the experience, but I encountered a cultural difference which caused me stress and anxiety each day and night.  My hotel rooms did not have clocks.  Throughout the cities of Paris and Madrid I rarely saw clocks.  Since my cell-phone did not work, I only knew the time by chance of seeing...
